Hare Hare Yukai (C64 remix)

"Very Professional. It has a happy beat to it."

date: June 4, 2009

it was a simple C64 song I liked it because it is fun to listen to. You can add more to it though and make a longer song. More craft to a song helps. That way you can add things such as more blips, sound effects such as square waves etc. That might help too. I gave it a 10 because it was crafted nicely. Good job. Also musically if you went into really deep melodic techno C64 songs, you will find elements that show Chip Music has a broader aspect to it, such as darker tones. Over all good job. :)

A sad man's story

"I like the blues and this song"

submission: A sad man's story
date: March 20, 2009

I am a jazz lover and I like this song because it sounds like the artist really is sad, and expresses his love for blues through a guitar piece. I like it and I am giving it a 10. You have really shown that a guitarist can compose and record a blues tune, record a song, mix it, and make it sound good. good job! a 10!

DBZ Battle (Spiriax Remix)

"I really enjoyed this song. DBZ Rules!"

date: March 20, 2009

I used to watch Dragon Ball Z on T.V. I really like the show and game series. This song showed that Dragon Ball has an old school kind of feel to it. I like the softer approach rather to a 'hard edge' kind of Battle song. The drums are very soft and so are the synthesizers which make it nicer in my opinion. good job! keep up the good work! If you work on a new DBZ Song maybe you can write a remix of a new harder edge battle piece. :) I would enjoy that.

MM9 - Wily Stage 1

"Excellent Song!"

submission: MM9 - Wily Stage 1
date: March 14, 2009

This song was amazing! I have played a lot of the Mega Man games from the NES and What I can tell you is that your song was a great rendition! Bringing back the 80s and 90s sounds from that era was a good move! The speed of your playing ability and the sound you have of your instruments has shown a lot and how the song sounds. I liked the way it flowed, and the speed of the song was perfect. I am a musician and an avid listener to video game music. Keep on playing! Kudos!

Batman NES - Stage 1 remix

"Good song!"

date: March 14, 2009

I do enjoy listening to this type of music. The Batman games on the NES systems were classic. What I like about this game were the brass synthesizer sounds. The Drum Machine adds a lot. You CAN do a lot with techno music and the whole video game genre. I give this song a 8 only because I feel you could have done more with the song. But keep on working on songs you never know where you can go with a NES game piece. Cheers!

I liked the way you used your different voice abilities in this demo. You really have shown you have many skills in that area. I really thought it was funny and clever. If you keep working on this and use this type of demo you never know what kind of career you can go into. Excellent work!

~|| A Demon - Remix

"Overall a good song."

date: March 13, 2009

it had a very "Old School" feel to it ala Final Fantasy from FF 3. I liked it because of the old Nintendo type of sound. The chord progression was a bit new to me but I liked it. Good job! Keep working on new songs. That is the key to a musician. This could be used for a 16 Bit Style Graphical RPG in my opinion. Kudos!

Kindred (Super Metroid)

"Great Song!"

date: March 13, 2009

I really liked this song a lot. I have played Metroid in the past, and I really think this song had a very dark feeling to it. The vocals or singing was excellent. The instruments were very good. I liked the drum machines, which I am a big fan of. The bells added to the darkness in the song. Excellent song overall. Very professionally made.

Zelda - Stone Tower Theme

"Good piece"

date: March 13, 2009

I liked it because it was a strings piece. I also thought it needed work added like drums, or vocals.
I am a big fan of Zelda. The reason I gave it a 7 out of 10 was because I felt it could use more instrumental additions. I liked it overall. Good job!

Author's Response:

Yeah it was really made to sound more empty but some more instruments would be an improvement. Thanks alot for the review ;)
